Parent Connection Questions
First contact for Parent Connection questions should be the campus. Secretary/someone at campus level needs to answer parent questions [often it is about the PIN, which campus can explain the 4x4 - first four letters of the last name plus the last four digits of the student's SS#].
Direct parents to the Parent Connection Guide - link on Parent Connection page.

When all else fails, you can contact Lorraine Trawick or John Hayes. They will be happy help with these difficult situations.

FYI - Contact Manager
FYI - Contact Manager
Just an FYI about a NEW component of SchoolMessenger...Contact Manager...
Currently SchoolMessenger sends notification to the primary phone number that is on fiile with the school or District. Contact Manager allows parents and staff to add two additional phone numbers, up to five e-mail addresses, and up to five mobile phone numbers for text messages. Contact Manager is completely optional, as are the various components.
CITs, there is no need for action on this from you at this time. I just wanted you to know about it and be aware that parents of NISD students will be getting the call this week (January 3-9, 2011) via SchoolMessenger with this information. This Contact Manager component is 100% optional for parents.
The contact for SchoolMessenger (and Contact Manager) is your campus administrator. The principals have had an overview and will be coming to training beginning next week.
Also...there will be a "NISD THIS WEEK" article on this initiative posted on the NISD web site soon :)
If needed, more information can be found on the Parent Connection site, under Contact Manager.
