SURVEY - iPods in NISD Elementary Schools

SURVEY - iPods in NISD Elementary School

I have an opportunity to attend Lynda Reyes' Elementary C & I Specialists each month. Recently, Joyce and I delivered an overview of iPods in the Classroom. We highlighted many of the projects and lessons you all are using to engage and enrich content areas on your campus!

As we move forward...thinking about curriculum writing and such, the Elementary C & I Specialists were interested in how many campuses are using iPods, how many they might have, how they are using them, etc.

If you have iPods on your campus (or plan to buy iPods for your campus in the near future), please take a moment to fill out this short survey.

I'll compile the results and share out with you all as well...so that we can all have a snapshot of how and where iPods are being used in NISD Elementary Schools :)

  1. We just finished using one of the district carts and we loved it. We used it everyday we had it. Does that count? Should I fill out the survey. We would love to buy a cart but don't have the money right now. We used across all grade levels and almost all curriculum areas.

  3. Last year I got a NEF grant to purchase 5 iPod Touches for ALE, PPCD, and PreK to share. We have loaded several free language development type apps (words, ABC, numbers, shapes), some free story apps, and several songs that the classes use on a daily basis. The kids love them. The ALE and PPCD recently took the iPods to Special Olympics and it kept the kids engaged that would normally have been behavior problems. All have used them as a center in their classrooms and want more. Need to write another grant!

  4. We have the Ipod Nanos right now and we absolutely love them! We have used them with 5th, 4th and 3rd so far in Reading, Social Studies and Science content areas and the kids love them too. They were so engaged and finished the assignments easily. We don't actually own any at this point but would love too if the money could be found. I don't know if I can actually fill out the other survey since we don't actually have them but we love them and will be sad to see them go.
