Possibilitarian Quotes for 2012
Throughout the break, I jotted down quotes here and there that I would come across. I'm always looking for a good quote to add to my CIT Possibilitarian Handbook. I don't remember how exactly, but I hit the motherlode of quotes that are really speaking to me as we kick off 2012. They are all from the Anne of Green Gables series. I can't believe I have never read those! I have already loaded them on my iPad. I love free literature.
I hope you all had a MARVELOUS break. Welcome back :)
Here are my Possibilitarian Quotes for 2012 :)
It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Oh, it's delightful to have ambitions. I'm so glad I have such a lot. And there never seems to be any end to them - that's the best part of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition you see another one glittering higher up still. It does make life so interesting.
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
I'd like to add some beauty to life, "said Anne dreamily. "I don't exaclty want to make people KNOW more...though I know that IS the noblest ambition...but I'd love to make them have a pleasanter time because of me...to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born."
L.M. Montgomery, Anne's House of Dreams

Here are two that I came across that I really liked! Thanks for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteNobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
I choose…to live by choice, not by chance. To make changes, not excuses. To be motivated, not manipulated. To be useful, not used. To excel, not compete. I choose self-esteem, not self pity. I choose to listen to my inner voice. Not the random opinion of others.
Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
ReplyDelete~Jon Gordon from "20 Tips for a Positive New Year."
Hmmmm... someone shared this with me that they heard at a Weight Watchers meeting...but I can't remember who it was. Anyway, I was told
ReplyDelete"Just because you drop one egg doesn't mean you throw the whole carton away!" I like this. For me, it applies to so much... Just because you cheat on a diet or exercise one day doesn't mean you give up on the rest of the week. Just because you have a bad day at work or in life doesn't mean the rest of the days will be bad too. Just because one student learns best one way doesn't mean the rest of the students in the class learn best the same way. I could go on and on! This quote works for me!
Here's one that I like...
ReplyDelete"Be thankful for the HARD days; without them we wouldn't notice the GOOD days."
AMEN to NEW starts and future endings...love that :)
ReplyDeleteBOO to Energy Vampires!!! YEAH to Bertie!!! Was this one of his newsletters? I need to read the other 19!!!
