How do you handle training?
What kind of scheduling works best?
What are your challenges?
What works?
We are getting deployed in February. I would like some ideas on hoow you assigned/found a location for the 4 JAR carts.
ReplyDeleteWith my iPod cart, I am just now this week getting ready to format iPods on the cart so that we can use. Challenges I see include how to handle the training for staff now that we are at the mid-point of the year. I don't want them used solely for interventions or as a translation device - ie the google translator app.
ReplyDeleteHow are JAR carts being managed at campuses? Locations of carts at campus, personnel in cart of supervising the cart, updates to netbooks, workorders for issues, schedules. I'd just like to compare and listen to what best practices are used at your campus.
ReplyDeleteTraining right now is being done by DOD grant coordinator. I will probably offer some small training updates at faculty meetings and team meetings in the spring. Also, all COWS and iPod carts are on a Groupwise calendar which works well. Challenges are getting the teachers to use all the equipment. I have to do the lessons to get them used.
ReplyDeleteJAR carts, COWs, are in my lab, library main area, library back room, GT, and reading specialist.
