Multi-Campus Drives and Icons on the Desktop

Multi-Campus Drives and Icons on the Desktop

I hope I'm able to explain this clearly...I'll try!

I've had several questions about Icons on the Desktop and how to manage them on your "second campus" when you don't see the "second campus" LabShortcuts folder on the desktop...

You will not see your "second campus" LabShortcuts folder on the desktop, even when you map to your "second campus) by using  the Multi-Campus Drives application. You will always need to go the long way and click through to your "second campus"...

For example, let's pretend I'm Vicki Fowler at Aue (first campus) and Leon Springs (second campus):

My Aue LabShorcuts will always showup on my desktop. So, it is very easy to edit the icons in one click. To edit my Leon Springs icons, I will access them the long way My Computer > N Drive >  LabShortcuts > StudentDesktopIcons.

From there, you can edit your icons just like you always have.

Hope this helps!

  2. What about staff shortcuts for our second campus?

  3. Same idea, Debra. You would access the STAFF Share "the long way." All of those folders you need are there and you have access to them. They just aren't shortcuts for you. Hope that helps.
