Employee Self-Service

Employee Self-Service

Employee Self-Service was recently rolled out for bi-weekly staff on each campus.

In case you are asked a question, here are some common ones it would be good to read over. Since we have not yet gotten into it ourselves, I know this is a hard one to offer help on. These questions and answers might help.

Question: As you know, most of these employees are custodial, cafeteria and temp (i.e. tutors) positions. It is my understanding that if these employees need access to the site to view their payroll/personal information, they will use the daily auto generated "guest" account (provided by the CIT) to access the site from a campus machine. Is that an accurate statement on my part?

Employee Self-Service Project Manager Answer: Yes. I have provided you the attachment that was sent out to Principals and if you look at the second page it briefly mentions the use of the guest account.

Question: Since many of these employees do not use a computer on the campus, do we want to have them fill out AUP forms prior to the April 1st transition date? I've talked to Ethan about this and he thought it might be a good idea, however he knew I was going to email you and asked if I could get further clarification on this.

Employee Self-Service Project Manager Answer: This may not be necessary since all employees including biweekly employees are provided this information in their Employee Handbook that is received each employment year which should already be completed. You may want to refer biweekly employees to page 59 "Employee Agreement for the Acceptable Use of the District's Electronic Communications System" in the Auxiliary Employee Handbook if they have not completed.

Question: Do you know if we have any of the training documentation for the employee self service system available in Spanish for those employees who may need it?

Employee Self-Service Project Manager Answer: No, not at this time and none is scheduled given that other software training documentation is needing to be completed.
